Al-sass

Last weekend we took a trip to Alsace (aka Al-sass, which apparently is my personal brand of sass). It was fun to be able to see parts of France that were very different not only from Paris but also from the other smaller towns we've been to. I love Paris, but I also love experiencing what FRANCE is like, which we have learned, is basically a different country from Paris. We went to Strasbourg, Colmar, and Riquewihr, which are heavily German influenced German towns in eastern France. They were all so beautiful! A lot of the tour guides here were telling us how everything was being closed down because of some convention this week in Strasbourg, and I guess Sarkozy and Obama will be there, so security was tight!

This is what we did this weekend. Made faces. The WHOLE time.
McDonalds with Karin and Jessica! Of course :)
Strasbourg Cathedral. So beautiful!

Our walking faces.
The cutest candy shop. We HAD to stop!

Traditional Alsacian meal. Basically it is every part of a pig on top of sauerkraut. It was a man's meal.
Smallest home in Colmar. TINY and so cute!
Girls picture :)
Always chocolate

More faces on the bus
